Oat Milk Tea in a Handmade Ceramic Mug

I know, I’m absolutely obsessed with mugs and cups. They’re works of art—beautiful and capable of giving me pleasure just by looking at them. And be able to have some of them at home is my kind of luxury. Haha, someone is a little bit crazy I guess!

Craving for a Cuteness Mug

Recently, I found this lovely mug from a lovely local brand called “Crave for Cuteness”. They craft handmade ceramics items such as mugs and magnet with adorable and playful designs, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to own one of their unique creations! My mug arrived last night, and I couldn’t wait to put it to use!

… so after my treadmill session this morning, I wandered into the kitchen, searching for an option for my first light calorie intake of the day. I started brewing Assam tea. But while I typically drink oat milk in a glass, today I decided to switch things up as I got too excited to fill the Assam oat milk tea in the mug – a cup of goodness. After all, why not indulge in a little cuteness?

Oat Milk

I love milk, especially full cream fat milk! Unfortunately, my body doesn’t always agree with it. So, I’ve turned to friendlier options of my stomach like plant-based milk, and oat milk has won my heart. I’ve made my own oat milk a few times before, but ever since “Goodmate” hit the market here in Thailand, I’ve been hooked on their products. Here’s why I love about oat milk from Goodmate.

Assam Oat Milk Tea Recipe

Step 1 – Steep 2 tablespoons of Assam tea leaves in about 400 ml of hot water and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. By the way, I use Assam tea from“Raming Tea House”.

Step 2 – Once brewed, let the tea to cool to room temperature (but not longer than an hour) and store the brewed tea in a clean, airtight glass or ceramic containers.

(According to the research, you can keep the brew tea in the refrigerate for 3-5 days for optimal freshness.)

My usual ratio is 1 part tea to 2 parts oat milk. For this morning, I use 50 ml of tea and 100 ml of oat milk. I’ll go shower and eat my first meal before continuing more tea in the afternoon. Sometimes, I will freeze the tea in the freezer and pour the oat milk over the iced tea for my afternoon cup.

What about you? Do you have any favorite mugs or cups that you’d like to share with me? or your favorite tea? or oat milk brand you like? ><
