Proud Phu Fah Resort, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Situated in Mae Rim province about 60 minutes drive from Chiang Mai — Proud Phu Fah is hidden by lushly green jungle on the mountainsides. The cool weather can be touched here throughout the year; particularly during the nighttime. There are many nature-friendly tourist attractions nearby such as Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens , Maesa Elephant Camp , Mon Cham and Pongyang Zipline and Jungle Coaster. If you plan to come here for a night, I recommend you to arrive before 4 pm to catch the stunning sunset view at Monjam.

The Villa Zone​

The green resort offers guests an escape from the cityscapes and replaces them with 10 uniquely designed rooms. Each villa unit at Proud Phu Fah seamlessly connects you with the flowing stream and nature around you, as well as all the creature comforts you would expect. The decorative items are individually designed, drawing inspiration from the cheers of children and the beauty of nature. Each villa comes with its own sound system pre-loaded with relaxing music. I like to just sit next to the river and listen to the water flowing right outside your room, accompanied by the soothing sounds of cicadas and birds singing.

The Phu Zone​

Phu zone is a new building consisting of 10 new luxury suites where you can enjoy the fresh air with panoramic mountain views while relaxing in your jacuzzi. The Phu Zone is supported by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency for using green energy; solar “Heat Loop” system to produce hot water to help reduce the electric consumption.

Eat and Chill

The pool here is located right next to the restaurant, and I spend time there both in the morning before breakfast and at night. There’s something magical about floating in the pool under thousands of stars at nighttime. Here they use water uses Aqua Pure Salt System that eliminates the chemical bath feeling of other pools and is naturally refreshing. The authentic and healthy Thai cuisine at Proud Phu Fah Restaurant offers delicious fresh vegetables and herbs suited for well-being. Proud Phu Fah’s restaurant is open from 7.00 am – 8.00 pm on Monday – Thursday and 7.00 am – 9.00 pm on Friday – Sunday. Food can be delivered to the villa.

My Room

My room is Private Villa No. 2. It boasts big windows around the room and an open-space bathroom outside the bedroom. During the day, the room is naturally bright, illuminated by ample daylight, negating the need to turn on artificial lights. The terrace is positioned above the stream that flows around the property, providing a serene ambiance. With high ceilings and enveloped by trees outside, the villa remains naturally cooled throughout the day and night.
