Dear Song,

Dear Song,

I’m on a platform.
I just took the train to where I really wanted to be,
as the destination invited me.
I arrived and stayed there, not too fast, not too long,
‘cause I knew I didn’t want to stay too long,
‘cause I also wanted to hop on the train,
that took me back to where I came from.

I’m on a platform,
and I wonder, if I stay here a little longer,
looking at other trains pass me by,
what’s it gonna be if the trains want to invite me?
Will I just want to watch those trains pass me by?
Or will I catch one when the time is just right
and see where it will take me, and see where I will be…

I think I will.
I think I will love the journey I’m about to be on
as I’m already falling in love
with the one
who sings an invitation to me in a song
that calls to me, invites me to join the train
where I can be dancing along.

I think I will.
I think I want to hop on one of the trains… that train.
I think I’ll be happy to see where it will take me
and where I will be along the way,
as I’ll go with my heart so open and free,
because I want to see what lies in another loving tree.

The train will take me somewhere so wonderful,
just like it will take me to you.
But if you’re not coming on the train I’m going to be on,
then maybe we’ll meet on another train, on another platform.

…………………………

Love, will you be on the train I’m on?
Will you catch me before I’m gone?
But if I’m truly gone, will you make a wish for me,
with your heart open and free?

I don’t know when you’ll come to me.
Or when your train will stop just for me.
But I’d love to hop on the train…
the one that beautifully invites me.

…………………………

You have an amazing life.
So do others, and so do I.

Yours,
Sing along.
