Life changes in many ways ~ so fascinating to me
As I walk down the road ~ I simply choose to see
This morning road is crowded in a busy life
But the sunlight never left the ground.
There were people and there were trees,
There were noises and there was wind breeze.
And people, like you and me, are here walking on the street…
but do we really walk?
A woman walks,
one hand pushing a trolley that carries her baby,
the other hand holding a phone.
What does she see—
if her eyes are only on the phone?
Where does she go—
if her feet only walk inside that phone?
I stop before her as she gets closer.
I look into the eyes of a mother,
of a child who deserves the care in her eyes
and the direction that lies in her feet.
I see none of that as we meet.
A man is crossing the road,
one hand holding the leash of his dog,
the other holding a phone.
What does he see—
if his eyes are only on the phone?
Where does he go—
if the leash only leashes to that phone?
He walks the dog,
or the dog walks him—
I wonder.
Does he leash the phone,
or does the phone leash him—
I wonder.
I see the boss(es).
A rider is taking a turn onto another road,
one hand on the handlebar,
the other holding a phone.
What does he see—
if his eyes are only on the phone?
Where does he go—
if the drive is only a drive in that phone?
No one is driving,
for the rider’s care is neither on the motorcycle nor the road.
The motorcycle moves,
but the rider is not on the motorcycle nor the road.
I see ghosts.
We seem capable of doing many things.
But can we really do something?
Look, to really see.
Listen, to truly hear.
Talk, to truly mean.
Walk, to truly walk.
Feel, to truly feel.
Love, to truly love.
Give, to truly give.
Be, to truly be.
Come back …
to this sacred body of yours.
Come back …
to yours.
Sit again with others.
Hold yourself as one.
Look into your children’s eyes.
Hear all your lover’s words.
Talk with the meaning you know.
Walk with your gifted body.
Taste all the sensations.
Feel it all…
Be here before you get lost.
Live before you’re lost.
The lost souls…
“Come back.”
