Once in a while, Vesse and I enjoy going out to try new places for food and munchies for a change. We love nice places, especially with outdoor areas, big windows, lots of light, and comfy seats. Recently, we’ve both grown fond of tea and have been on the lookout for space for tea like tea house and tearooms in Bangkok.
This time, after spending a few minutes researching on Google Maps, we found Chan & Yupa Cuisine. (Originally called Chan & Yupa Tearoom, it’s now known as Chan & Yupa Cuisine.) Surprisingly, although I had passed by this place many times before, I had never stopped by. Now it is time!
Here are the things we love!
The indoor area features big windows through which you can see the outdoor garden bathed in natural sunlight. Aside from the indoor space, we were drawn to the outdoor area with its charming gardens and decorations. This place quickly became my favorite spot for a delightful afternoon tea in Bangkok.
During our first visit, we decided to try the afternoon tea set, which included a choice of tea served in teapots, along with a selection of assorted sandwiches, pastries, desserts, and scones with cream cheese and jam. For our choice of tea, we chose Chan’s signature tea, a delightful black tea blend infused with bergamot and vanilla. The tea set offers two options: 480 THB for one set or 900 THB for two sets.
We couldn’t resist trying their iced Thai tea, and I think you might love it too! Their original recipe for iced Thai tea is simply delicious. We both fell in love with it, prompting us to order another one to go.
Chan & Yupa Cuisine, located on Soi Sukhumvit 10 – just a few minutes’ walk from both BTS Asok station and MRT Sukhumvit. It is closed on Mondays. Their afternoon tea is available from 10:00 to 17:00. Additionally, they also have the Chan & Yupa Wellness Spa right next to the restaurant.
